Cost of Electrolysis Hair Removal
How much does Electrolysis Hair Removal Cost?
The cost depends very much on salon you go to, the density of your hair and the body part that you want treated. Most clinics will refrain from giving you a quote until they've seen you in person and judged the amount of work that will be required.
I've put together a quick pricing table to give you a general guideline though:-
| Duration | Cost |
|---|---|
| 5 Minutes | £10 ($16 USD) |
| 10 Minutes | £17 ($27 USD) |
| 15 Minutes | £20 ($32 USD) |
| 20 Minutes | £25 ($40 USD) |
| 30 Minutes | £30 ($49 USD) |
I compiled these prices as a guideline (in May 2011) by having a look at the prices of 10 electrologists.
How Long Will I Need?
Electrolysis is quite a lengthy procedure simply because the electrologist has to treat each hair individually. The density of hair is subjective - so one person may require more work than the next - but as a general rule of thumb it would take an experienced electrologist between 15 and 30 minutes for eyebrow treatment (costing between £20 and £30 or $32 USD and $49 USD according to the chart above). People with dense hair will be towards the upper end of that spectrum and vice versa.
